Lagotto Romagnolo Club of Great Britain Training Workshop at Grafty Green, Kent - Sun 7th April
This event is open to dogs of a good temperament only as it is a group training session. There are 2 sessions planned for this date, a morning session aimed at beginners and an afternoon session for more advanced dogs. Please select the correct session for your dog when purchasing a space. The cost includes a donation of £5 to LRCGB’s Rescue and Rehome Fund.
Morning session is aimed at beginners, dogs should have a desire to retrieve (doesn't need to be polished) and have some basic obedience skills (doesn’t need to be perfect) including walking on a loose lead, recall, sit and stay for a short duration.
Afternoon Session is aimed at more advanced dogs. Dogs should be capable of undertaking marked, memory and blind retrieves, have good general obedience, directional control (outs and backs) and a good stop whistle.
The exact criteria covered in each session will depend a little on the dogs in the groups but we plan to cover a range of marked, and memory retrieves, along with handling exercises. We will have access to a small lake so will have the opportunity to retrieve from water and handle around water as appropriate for each level.
